Privacy policy

ScoutRoo is an independent home-service comparison platform. We help households find and compare internet and electricity options at their address. When you use ScoutRoo, you trust us with a small amount of information — and we take that trust seriously.

• ZIP code and address details — so we can show plans and providers available where you live.
• Contact information — such as email or phone number, only if you choose to hear from us or request a follow-up.
• Usage data — pages visited, clicks, and device information to improve the site and keep it secure.
• Communication preferences — so we honor your choices about emails, calls, and marketing.

• Match your address to available internet and electricity plans.
• Send personalized recommendations, deal alerts, or moving tips you requested.
• Improve our comparison tools, content, and site performance.
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and technical issues.
• Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited details with trusted partners in specific situations:

• Service providers — such as hosting, analytics, email delivery, and customer-support platforms that help us run ScoutRoo.
• Partner providers — when you choose to order a plan through ScoutRoo, we may pass your information to the selected provider or our partner marketplace to complete your request.
• Legal authorities — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our users and business.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information. You can also opt out of targeted advertising and the sale or sharing of personal information.

To exercise your rights, email us at privacy@scoutroo.com or visit our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.

ScoutRoo uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, measure site performance, and deliver relevant content. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. Learn more on our Cookie Settings page.

We use industry-standard security measures — including encryption, access controls, and regular monitoring — to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we work hard to keep your data safe.

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services or the law changes. The updated version will be posted here with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review it periodically.
